Croptoberfest!

On Saturday several of my sister Close to My Heart consultants and I hosted our fifth Croptoberfest.  What’s that you ask.  Croptoberfest is an all-day crafting event.  We had 27 attendees who came to work on their craft projects.  We
provided lunch, dinner and snacks.  There were two “make & take” projects and lots of socializing.  It was a great day!

Stampers with an Attitude March Blog Hop

I really need to participate in blog hops more often.  That seems to be the only time I manage to get my blog updated.  If you have arrived from  Jen Patrick's  blog you are on the right path.

This month the theme was creations using Picture My Life cards.  This is a Close To My Heart Display Tray with pictures of my grandkids  decorated with Picture My Life Avonlea cards. I had so much fun putting this together.  The small cards fit perfectly into the sections. The finished item looks so professional and it's easy with Picture My Life.

Please contact me if you are interested in learning more about Picture My Life or to order any of the products you see here. Now hop over to Denise Elliott's blog to see what she has designed.

Stampers with an Attitude September Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog.  If you have arrived from Cat Nowak's blog you are on the right path.  This month I have paired the paper packet theme of Scaredy Cat with the September Stamp of the Month, Family is Forever.
I wanted to show the versatility of the paper by creating something other than a Halloween design.  My card uses the starburst design.  I cut a heart out using the Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge and stamped it with the heart from Family is Forever in thistle ink. A strip of purple shimmer tape across the bottom completed the card.  Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing any of the items I’ve used here.  The Stamp of the Month can be yours for $5 with a $50 purchase.
Here are a few more cards I created with the Scaredy Cat paper pack.  The colors are perfect for Halloween, yet versatile enough for other occasions as well.

Now hop over to Melissa Robinson's blog to see what she has designed with the Scaredy Cat paper pack.

Stampers with an Attitude Chalk it Up Blog Hop!

I hope you are enjoying the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop.  August's theme is 'Chalk it Up'!  All of the artwork uses the new Chalk it Up paper pack from Close to My Heart.

If you are following the Stampers with an Attitude blog hop you are on the right track and just left Jen Patrick's blog to arrive here.  Isn’t everyone’s artwork just amazing?  Here is my creation.

The 4x4 card was inspired by something I saw online but I was unable to locate it again so I could give credit. I used the Chalk it Up paper and "Paired" it with Close to My Heart's "Pear" cardstock. The sentiment on the card says "Have a Happy Day" and is part of the new Have a Happy Day stamp set. The  card base and ruffled mat were cut using the Artbooking Cricut cartridge and the Artiste cartridge was used to cut the sentiment label. I just love my CTMH Cricut cartridges.  They are so versatile!

The other item in the picture is a cookie wrapper.  Both the wrapper and the label were cut with a project file from Cricut Design Space. "Enjoy!" was written with the Cricut Explore.  The wrapper is lined with freezer paper. It would be easy to create in Cricut Craft room by combining a solid square with lattice triangles. A 3 1/2" cookie will fit in the wrapper.

Please contact me at creativechristyg@gmail.com if you are interested in owning your very own Artbooking or Artiste Cricut cartridge. Or visit my Close to My Heart web page at www.creativechristyg.ctmh.com. For $99 you receive a fabulous CTMH exclusive  Cricut cartridge, three coordinating My Acrylic stamp sets and three dimensional elements chipboard shape sheets.

Thanks for visiting my page. I hope you enjoyed my project. Next up in the blog hop is Angela Garcia.  Hop over to see the fabulous item she has created.

Close to My Heart New Product Blog Hop!

Welcome to my blog. I am so excited! This is my first Blog Hop.  I hope I did it right.

If you are following the Stampers with an Attitude blog hop you are on the right track and just left Melinda Everitt's blog to arrive here.  Isn’t everyone’s artwork just amazing?  Here is my creation.  It is a Post-it Note Holder inspired by Michelle Bowley.  The background piece, leaves and butterfly were all cut using the new Close to My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge. I LOVE this cartridge!  It has so many possibilities.   With 700 new images, grouped together by theme and also 10 themed mini books, this is another "must have" cartridge for Cricut users.  The paper I used is a combination of Laughing Lola and Sarita.  The cover is also decorated with a felt flower from the Frosted assortment, metal flowers from the Base and Bling Floral Accents and Aqua Dots. Our wonderful Liquid Glass was used as adhesive to ensure everything stays put. Here is the inside of the holder.

Please contact me at creativechristyg@gmail.com if you are interested in owning your very own Artbooking Cricut cartridge. Or visit my Close to My Heart web page at www.creativechristyg.ctmh.com. For $99 you receive the fabulous new CTMH exclusive Artbooking Cricut cartridge, three coordinating My Acrylic stamp sets and three dimensional elements chipboard shape sheets. With 15 themes to choose from and the ease of creating perfectly coordinated layouts with only two keys and one dial size it is every scrapbookers dream.  As you can see from my Post-it Note Holder it works for other items and cards as well.

Thanks for visiting my page. I hope you enjoyed my project. Next up in the blog hop is Hilary Reynolds.  Hop over to see the fabulous item she has created.

This past weekend I had had a chance to create a few cards.    The one in the picture above was created for a very special five year old’s birthday on May 5th. It uses the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for cutting the cupcake, frame and card base.  Most of the stamps used come from the sets included with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The paper is from the Lucy paper pack in the Spring/ Summer Idea Book. It was inspired by a card created by another consultant.  It is so much fun creating with products that coordinate so well.

This Saturday, May 5th I’m hosting an all day craft retreat along with other area Close to My Heart consultants.  There should be time for me to get some crafting time of my own so I plan on working on a stockpile of cards.  What fun!

Please let me know if I can Show You How to create cards and layouts of your own.

Happy Stamping!

Crafto de Mayo

On May 5th, along with a group of TriCity Close to My Heart Consultants, I'll be hosting a crop at the Sheet Metal Workers Union Hall in Pasco. Cost for the day is $25 which includes both lunch and dinner. This is a great opportunity to work on some of those scrapbooking layouts or cards you just never manage to get to. There will be make and takes and door prizes.  Space is limited so make your reservations early.  Just let me know if you would like a copy of the registration form.  It should be a fun day. I look forward to seeing you there.

Happy Stamping!
