This past weekend I had had a chance to create a few cards.    The one in the picture above was created for a very special five year old’s birthday on May 5^th. It uses the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for cutting the cupcake, frame and card base.  Most of the stamps used come from the sets included with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The paper is from the Lucy paper pack in the Spring/ Summer Idea Book. It was inspired by a card created by another consultant.  It is so much fun creating with products that coordinate so well. 

This Saturday, May 5^th I’m hosting an all day craft retreat along with other area Close to My Heart consultants.  There should be time for me to get some crafting time of my own so I plan on working on a stockpile of cards.  What fun!

Crafto de Mayo

On May 5th, along with a group of TriCity Close to My Heart Consultants, I'll be hosting a crop at the Sheet Metal Workers Union Hall in Pasco. Cost for the day is $25 which includes both lunch and dinner. This is a great opportunity to work on some of those scrapbooking layouts or cards you just never manage to get to. There will be make and takes and door prizes.  Space is limited so make your reservations early.  Just let me know if you would like a copy of the registration form.  It should be a fun day. It finally feels like Spring is Here!!!!

I just love using Studio J for my scrapbooking layouts.  Since my pictures are already digital it couldn't be easier.  No more trips to drop-off and pick-up printed pictures.  What a time saver! And they look so professional. It's even possible to add my own embellishments after I get the printed pages. Not that there is any need to.  They look great as they are.  Take a look at one from a trip last Spring.  Ask me how you can create great, professional layouts in minutes.

It's Here!!!!

The new Close to My Heart Spring / Summer Idea Book is here and boy does it have some great new products.  It's full of page after page of layouts, cards, bpxes and other 3-D items.  Have you seen the new Art Philosophy Cricut cartrdige designed exclusively for CTMH?  If not just ask about it.  I would love to show it to you. Studio J Layouts

Today I thought I would share a layout I did using Studio J earlier this year.  It was so simple to select a CTMH paper pack and layout design.  I then uploaded my photos and dragged them into the layout.  So simple and so professional looking.  This particular layout was of photos of my nephews funeral.  After creating it I entered it into a CTMH Studio J contest on Facebook and it won first place. 

I hope you decide to give Studio J a try. It doesn't cost anything to use the application.  I've heard of some who use it to determine their layout and then they use CTMH paper and accessories to create the pages.  If you do decie to purchase and print the pages, they are of a high professional quality. In case you are wondering, the printed pages do not include the Studio J  and scrapbooking lines accross the bottom.

Simple Projects

These are a couple of the projects for my stamp club this week.  The PILLOW BOX uses the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge combined with the Elemental Paper pack. The card also uses the Art Philosophy cartridge but this time it is combined with paper from the Roxie pack.  They were both easy to create using Close to My Heart’s coordinating products.

Studio J Creations

For my first artwork post I want to share one of my Studio J layouts.  This was so simple to create.  You can get started at https://christyg.myctmh.com/Retail/StudioJLanding.aspx?PageId=185. After creating a free account and logging you are ready to create beautiful layouts using your digital pictures. Just click on Create New Project and follow the simple online instructions to create your own 12 x 12 two page layout.  The best thing is, you can play with designing your layouts and only buy those that you decide you want copies of.  Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to share some of my digital scrapbooking layouts.  Here is the first from a trip we made to Mt. Vernon last spring.
